Black Bear/Brown Bear
“Hey. We aren’t satisfied until everyone is dripping with sweat.” This statement, spat out by Black Bear/Brown Bear at their recent Record Store Day show at Township, rings true with their already established mantra for live shows: get the party started, ask questions later.
Creating a sound inspired by the likes of Talking Heads and Paul Simon’s Graceland, Black Bear/Brown Bear’s live shows have quickly become a masochistic display of organized chaos. This energy moves from the band to the crowd and becomes cyclical; a tornado of stomping feet and chanting voices.
